Thank you for taking an interest in our workshop. We need people like you to tell everyone else about how awesome we are. So, here is a little bit of background information about us so you can sound really knowledgeable when you're telling everyone to come along and get creative!
The Little Arts Workshop was started in 2015 by Emma Atkinson, without whom we wouldn't have this amazing studio. In July 2019 Emma passed the baton to me, Jessica Townsend-Melton. I have a background in ceramics and glass art as well as experience working in various arts institutions. I am also a local Mum of two. So the opportunity to take on The Little Arts Workshop and build on it's foundations was too good to miss.
I hope to create an all inclusive creative hub for the town to have an accessible arts resource.
However I couldn't do this without a team of people behind me. The wonderful staff Viv Loraine and Julie Turnham (aka Dot) both continued working for us. Their knowledge, input and experience are invaluable.
Alongside the staff I am reaching out to a team of local artisans to help me to create a wider range of workshops to offer out to you wonderful lot.
Happy making everyone!
